The excitement is building as Strictly Come Dancing 2025 hurtles towards its grand finale! With just two weeks left, the ballroom is buzzing with energy and anticipation.
This Saturday, we're in for a musical treat as the show brings back its popular Musicals week. Get ready for some iconic tunes from The Phantom of the Opera and Guys and Dolls, and prepare to be wowed by a brand-new dance relay performance featuring all the remaining couples.
But here's where it gets controversial... Musicals week will also showcase some special guest appearances, including the beloved Paddington Bear and the cast of the hit West End show Titanique. Will these guest stars steal the show, or will the Strictly celebrities shine even brighter?
Last week, Lewis and Katya made history by winning the first-ever Instant Dance challenge, proving that they're a force to be reckoned with. Meanwhile, Karen and Amber both achieved perfect 40s, with Karen's score being her first of the series.
George and Alexis also had a strong week, with judge Craig Revel Horwood praising their Quickstep as "a joy to watch." However, Alex and Johannes didn't fare as well with their Cha Cha Cha, landing them towards the bottom of the leaderboard.
The competition heated up on Sunday night as two celebrities faced off in the dance-off: Balvinder Sopal and Alex Kingston. In a tough decision, the judges chose to save Balvinder, meaning Alex had to say goodbye to the contest.
This year's Strictly has introduced several new challenges, keeping the format fresh and exciting. Following last week's Instant Dance challenge, this week brings another innovation: a "dance relay" to open the show.
In this five-minute challenge, each couple will take to the floor in a celebration of musicals, with songs from My Fair Lady, Oliver!, Chitty Chitty Bang Bang, and Mary Poppins Returns. The remaining couples will battle it out for viewers' votes, and the professionals will also perform Cell Block Tango from Chicago.
And this is the part most people miss... former Strictly contestant Tom Fletcher will make a special appearance alongside Paddington Bear, who is making his Strictly debut!
As we approach the grand final on December 20th, the competition intensifies. Even a good score can land you in the bottom half of the leaderboard at this stage, and with only a few couples left, every dance counts.
On Sunday night, two more couples will face the dreaded dance-off, and another star will bid farewell.
Don't miss Strictly Come Dancing this Saturday at 18:50 on BBC One and BBC iPlayer. Who will shine brightest under the ballroom lights? Will the judges' decisions surprise us? And who will ultimately be crowned the winner?
